FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Local artists in Fort St. John are being given the chance to give back to the arts community with an upcoming auction in town.
The 39th annual Art Auction will be held at the Northern Grand Hotel on March 8th and jointly hosted by the Flying Colours Artists’ Association, FSJ Arts Council, the North Peace Cultural Centre, and Peace Gallery North.
“Our purpose this year is to raise funds for a future creative hub and the gallery through a steam punk theme,” says Flying Colours Artists’ Association president Karin Kroecher.
Doors open for the event at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the auction will start at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets will be available starting on February 1st at $85 each at the North Peace Cultural Centre.
Art submission sheets for the auction can be found here.
“We are so grateful to the artists and local businesses that have generously donated so far,” says Kroecher.
