Committee appointments in 2025 approved by PRRD
In the first meeting of the new year, the regional board at the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) finalized and approved board appointments for various directors.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – In the first meeting of the new year, the regional board at the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) finalized and approved board appointments for various directors.
During the January 9th regional board meeting, the directors approved seven appointments of directors and staff to different organizations pertaining to the region.
Director Bradley Sperling of Electoral Area C was appointed as the North Peace Electoral Area Director to the Health Care Scholarship Committee in place of Alternate Director Reid Graham of Electoral Area B.
The board also approved the appointment of Sperling and Director Dan Rose of Electoral Area E to the Solid Waste Committee, replacing Graham and Board Chair Leonard Hiebert.
Hiebert was also approved to join the Northern Medical Programs Trust of the University of Northern British Columbia as the PRRD’s representative.
Director Allen Courtorielle of Chetwynd, as well as Chetwynd Councillors Andrea Smith and Janet Wark, to the Civic Properties Commissions in 2025. The regional board also removed the Chetwynd Public Library Advisory Committee from the appointments list and, therefore, has not approved a director for the committee.
Alongside appointing the directors to various positions, the board also approved appointing Procurement Officer Athar Sharma to be the alternate voting member of the Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia to represent the PRRD.
