The health authority in a previous statement to Energeticcity.ca said the centre is experiencing an interruption to its daytime and weekday emergency department services due to “staffing shortages.”

During normal working hours, the health centre is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It urged the residents of Hudson’s Hope who are in need of emergency care outside of normal working and weekends to call 911 to connect to BC Emergency Health Services for transport to the nearest available hospital.

Energeticcity.ca has contacted Northern Health for a comment on the closure extension, and this story will be updated as and when new information becomes available.
