FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Fort Nelson Provincial Courts from December 16th to 20th.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, December 16th

Kelsey Douglas Paul Gauthier (born 1988):

Gauthier was found guilty of driving while prohibited and/or with a suspended license for an incident in Fort St. John on May 10th, 2023. Gauthier was fined $300 and issued a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime.

Erin Nicole McKinnon (born 1984):

For two charges of assault and one charge of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, McKinnon was sentenced to jail time served and issued three 18-month probation orders.

Antonio Claudio Zappitelli (born 1957):

Zappitelli was found guilty of driving while prohibited and/or with a suspended license for an incident in Fort St. John on June 8th, 2024. Zappitelli was issued a $500 fine and a $75 victim surcharge.

Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing, December 16th

Nicolas Wayde Chase Tsakoza (born 1997):

Tsakoza was found guilty of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault causing bodily harm for incidents in Fort Nelson and Prophet River that took place between June and September of 2024.

Tsakoza was sentenced to jail time served and issued three 12-month probation orders, ordered to report for DNA sample collection, and received a five-year firearm prohibition.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, December 17th

Brenden Steven Ray Grey (born 2000):

Grey was found guilty of mischief $5,000 or under for an incident in Dawson Creek on November 28th, 2023. Grey was sentenced to jail time served.

Amber Dawn McRann (born 1983):

McRann was found guilty of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000, for an incident on January 31st, 2024. McRann was issued two 45-day conditional sentences, which are sentences to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called “house arrest.” McRann was also issued two 12-month probation orders.

Nikisha Rane Strong Huitema (born 1999):

Strong Huitema was found guilty of breaking and entering and committing an indictable offense, and breaching a release order, for an incident in Dawson Creek on February 3rd, 2024. Strong Huitema was issued a 12-month conditional sentence, a 12-month probation order, ordered to report for DNA sample collection, and fined $500.

Trudy Lorraine Walsh (born 1964):

Walsh was issued a $250 recognizance after the allegation for a charge of making harassing communication, related to an incident in Dawson Creek on December 6th, 2023. If Walsh fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they will have to pay the $250.
