The second agreement renewal was with Saulteau First Nations Fire Service Agreement, and provided the Moberly Lake Fire Department with $200,197.68 in operational funding.

Both agreements confirm there is a built-in Consumer Price index to allow for necessary increases on an annual basis.

According to the staff report, the operational funding contributed to ‘the sustainability of PRRD fire services’ within Saulteau and West Moberly lands, as well as the community of Moberly Lake.

Both of the new agreements begin on January 1st, 2025 and will be in effect for the next five years.
