Dawson Creek activates cooling centre amid warmer temperatures
The City of Dawson Creek is inviting residents to the Nawican Emergency Homeless Centre, where a cooling centre has opened up due to warmer-than-usual temperatures.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The City of Dawson Creek is inviting residents to the Nawican Emergency Homeless Centre, where a cooling centre has opened up due to warmer-than-usual temperatures.
The centre opened last week on July 10th and will remain open until July 22nd for those who need a place to cool down.
The city says the shelter will provide water, cool drinks, snacks and a place to cool down over the next week.
Nawican Shelter is located at 1401 102nd Avenue, Dawson Creek, B.C., and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.Â
