Human remains in Dawson Creek identified as missing woman Darylyn Supernant
The human remains found in Dawson Creek in April have been identified as belonging to Darylyn Supernant.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The human remains found in Dawson Creek in April have been identified as belonging to Darylyn Supernant.
Supernant was reported missing on March 23rd, 2023, and she was last seen on March 15th in the Dawson Creek area.
On April 19th, 2024, police were dispatched to a report of human remains located on 219 Road near Saskatoon Creek.
Supernant’s mother Shelley announced on social media on June 17th that the remains had been identified as her daughter.
Messages of support have been posted for Supernant’s friends and family on social media.
“Sending love and light to Shelley and Darylyn’s entire family,” said Julie Hosack, the mother of a missing man named Cole Hosack last seen in the Dawson Creek area. “My heart is with them all during this incredibly difficult time.”
Fort St. John councillor Trevor Bolin also posted on Facebook, calling the news “heartbreaking.”

Supernant’s cousin, 40-year-old Renee Didier, was reported missing on December 7th, 2023. Her remains were found and identified in late May.
While the two women were missing, many local activists worked to raise awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people (MMIWG2S+).
Supernant was 29 years old at the time of her disappearance.
