FSJ RCMP investigating “suspicious occurrence” at convenience store

Police officers in Fort St. John are working to identify someone from a reported “suspicious occurrence” at a local convenience store.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Police officers in Fort St. John are working to identify someone from a reported “suspicious occurrence” at a local convenience store.

According to police, on June 6th at roughly 7:25 p.m., a suspicious man approached a young girl at the store, asking where she lived and if she wanted to go outside with him to see puppies in his vehicle.

The girl reportedly had no further interactions with the man, and there were no reported injuries.

The man is described as standing five feet, seven inches tall, and weighing 165 pounds. He was wearing all-black clothing and sunglasses and driving a blue sedan at the time of the incident.

Police say they’re still trying to identify the suspect, and the investigation is ongoing.
