Dawson Creek partners with NDIT to provide business façade grants

The City of Dawson Creek has announced a partnership with Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT) to provide the Business Façade Improvement program for local businesses.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The City of Dawson Creek has announced a partnership with Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT) to provide the Business Façade Improvement program for local businesses. 

The program encourages downtown business owners to update their storefronts and keep the city’s downtown core looking pleasant. 

Business owners who apply for the grant can receive up to $5,000 for upgrades and improvements to the exterior of their buildings.

The upgrades can include façade painting, exterior lighting, windows and more.  

Grant applications will be accepted until April 30th, 2024. 

Applicants can be property or business owners, non-profit organizations, or home-based businesses with no outstanding building permits.

The City of Fort St. John has been fully subscribed to the business façade program for the past five years, announcing its most recent intake period last week. 

Fraser-Fort George and Prince George are also utilizing the program with NDIT.
