FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Mulitia Muffler was broken into early Thursday morning, though only a couple of small lightbars were taken.

“They honestly didn’t take much; the damage to the door was probably the most expensive thing they did,” Hunt said.

The thief involved left behind cell phones and even some cash and only took two small lightbars.

“They were in our building for under a minute,” Hunt said.

Hunt says the building’s security system alerted her of motion detected at 1:47 a.m.

When she saw the notification later that morning, Hunt says she went to the shop to assess the damage and called the police.

According to RCMP, the suspect is male and was dressed in black, wearing gloves and a face mask. The investigation is ongoing.

In the weeks leading up to the holidays, multiple small businesses had been broken into or stolen from, including Prevail Athletics, Lux Apparel and Popoy’s Tea Bar.
