FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Hospital Auxiliary is asking for items recently stolen from its gift shop to be returned.
Members of the auxiliary have been in contact with the RCMP about multiple thefts at the organization’s shop. Despite chatting with police, the volunteer-run group says they want those responsible for stealing to “do the right thing.”
“We are dismayed that people would steal from those who are giving,” said the group in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

“If you know of someone who may have stolen from our gift shop, please encourage them to bring back the items or pay for them.“
The auxiliary says the situation can be “rectified anonymously.”
They suggest someone bring back the items or pay for them. The non-profit can also be contacted on Facebook or at the gift shop at 250-261-7568 to make other arrangements.
All funds raised from the store go directly to purchasing equipment for the comfort and care of patients of the hospital and residents of Peace Villa.
