According to a comment on a social media post, the driver of the vehicle with six occupants was a mom with five kids. The woman claiming to be the mom said one of her kids has a broken hand and another is in rough shape due to getting glass in her eye.
The woman says she and her family were on the south Taylor Hill on their way into town for her daughter’s birthday dinner when someone in a truck passed them, side swiped her car and directed it into a semi-truck.
RCMP said only one of the passengers in the vehicle ended up receiving minor injuries.
Saunderson said the highway was closed for almost three hours on Wednesday but has since reopened.
