Lisa Miel made an appearance at the Fort St. John Provincial court this morning via teleconference from Prince George, but had her case adjourned to October 13th.

The 24-year-old did not have legal aid, and thus, the case has been held off until she can find assistance. She looked solemn and was quiet while the court addressed her.

Miel is accused of second degree murder in relation to the death of Kirk Morin earlier this month in Taylor.

She was arrested at a traffic stop driving a truck registered in Morin’s name. His body had been found by RCMP hours earlier.

Not many other details are known about the investigation at this time.
