Pickell Park playground closed for several weeks for upgrades

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – One of the oldest neighbourhood playgrounds in the city will be closed for the next couple of weeks while crews conduct upgrade work.

Only the Pickell Park playground will be closed for the time being and, once complete, will feature a rubberized surface, new play and climbing structures.

General park improvements are slated for later in the summer and will include additional trees and upgraded garbage cans, picnic tables and benches.

The improvements are based on feedback from the community during last summer’s Let’s Talk Pickell Park engagement sessions.
