UPDATE: Homes evacuated due to fire in Baldonnel
BALDONNEL, B.C. — Firefighters are on the scene of a fire in Baldonnel, near 249 road and Baldonnel road.

The blaze started Monday afternoon.

UPDATE: According to crews on scene, the fire has jumped south of the Baldonnel road, and roads in that area are closed.
The RCMP says homes are being evacuated. There is no clear indication yet on how many, but evacuation will keep happening.
Taylor Community Centre will be the check-in point. The RCMP says there have been reports of fires in Charlie Lake, and north of Fort St. John elsewhere.
Fire Information Officer Amanda Reynolds says there is also a fire burning in Hudson’s Hope.
