Dawson Creek school locked down after gun reports
DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Yesterday, just before 10 a.m., the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of two individuals who may have had firearms near a local Elementary School on 92nd Ave.
The school was immediately locked down and businesses in the area were notified.
Police were also told one of the suspects had a hat and a red vest on.
Multiple officers immediately set up a secure perimeter in the area, and contacted Police Dog Services to attend the scene.
However, after an exhaustive search of the area, police were not able to find any evidence to support the initial call.
Dawson Creek RCMP is still investigating the incident, and urges anyone with information to contact them.
