FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northern Environmental Action Team (NEAT) is officially rolling out its Peace Region Food Hub Network.
NEAT is inviting any producer looking to increase local food access, keep food purchasing dollars local, and access any sales support to attend the launch next month.
The Northern Co-Hort members will be working to connect farmer to farmer and local food to consumers.
The launch is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4th at 6:30 p.m. at the Fireweed Market in FSJ, and the cost is $10 per person.
Tickets can be purchased on NEAT’s website.
Following the presentation, there will be a chance to discuss with other producers in the area. There will also be locally produced snacks available and the Might Peace’s Super NEAT Saison beer.
The Food Hub has been a long time coming for NEAT, which hosted an in-person event in November in Hudson’s Hope and a virtual event back on December 7th.
