Both topped 67 year old January 11th records of 9.7 established in 1947.

They also raised the month-to-date totals to 22.5 centimetres of snow and 20.6 millimetres of precipitation. Both those totals are still on pace to top the January norms of 32.2 centimetres and 26 millimetres.

The Saturday dump also raised the amount of snow on the ground yesterday to 72 centimetres. That was just three less than the 1997 airport station record of 75 for the date and just four less than what we had on New Year’s Day.
