Dawson Creek issue stage 4 water restrictions

The City of Dawson Creek and the Village of Pouce Coupe are issuing Stage 4 water restrictions.

The restrictions will be effective Thursday.

Under the water conservation measures residents are not allowed to water their lawns, gardens or any type of planters or trees.

As well, residents can’t fill a swimming pool, hot tub or fountain and can’t wash any outdoor surfaces.

People are only allowed to wash their vehicles to guarantee they can be operated safely or to make sure licence plates are visible.

The City has issued the restrictions because the water level of the Kiskatinaw River is extremely low and the municipality depends on the water that is still available.
