Tumbler Ridge Days Society to donate fall fair proceeds to community

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. — The Tumbler Ridge Days Society is hosting a Tumbler Ridge Strong benefit concert and fall fair with proceeds going towards supporting the Tumbler Ridge community. 

The event will take place on Sept. 5. at the Tumbler Ridge fair grounds from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission to the event is $20 for adults and free for kids 12 and under with a paying adult. 

100 per cent of gate admission and Tumbler Ridge Strong merchandise sales will be donated to the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School parent advisory committee to support students, staff and the rebuilding of the school community.

“It’s not only good for raising funds but it brings the community together,” said Terry Cosgrove, president of the Tumbler Ridge Days Society. “This town’s been through a lot this year, and it’s just a great way to all come together.”

The event will feature live music, vendors, a 50/50 raffle and other attractions. 

The Tumbler Ridge Days Society is currently seeking vendors for the event. The vendor form and more information can be found on its website. 

The Tumbler Ridge Secondary School is currently in the process of being torn down and rebuilt following the shooting earlier this year.
