Walk-in clinic returning to Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic
The Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic said it has resumed it’s walk-in clinic services effective Aug 1.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A walk-in clinic will be returning to the Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic later this summer.
Beginning Aug. 1, the Fort St. John Family Practice Associates Clinic will welcome patients back to its walk-in clinic, the clinic announced in a Facebook post.
The clinic had previously ended its walk-in services on July 1, citing a transition in alignment with the required provincial physician working model at the time.

According to the post, the clinic’s patients will be offered a morning walk-in service Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
“We are very happy to let our patients know there have been recent changes to the provincial working model to allow physicians in rural areas to provide care to each other’s patients in their Patient Medical Home,” the post said.
In addition to the morning walk-in clinic, the clinic says each doctor will continue to set aside a number of same-day appointments for patients who may require urgent visits rather than waiting for a regularly booked appointment.
The clinic announced the hiring of two new doctors in March. Dr. Manraj Khangura and Dr. Haroon Ahmed are set to begin practising in September.
