Dawson Creek RCMP investigating after assault with a weapon

The assault was committed by two individuals in the 800 block of 105th Avenue in Dawson Creek on Monday, June 29.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The Dawson Creek RCMP detachment is investigating after an alleged assault involving a weapon occurred this week.

According to a press release, police were called to a business at 3:43 p.m. on Monday, June 29, to the 800 block of 105th Avenue amid reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, units determined the individual had been allegedly assaulted by two suspects with an undetermined weapon.

The victim was taken to the hospital by the BC Emergency Health Services with minor injuries and was later released.

Police are looking for eyewitnesses or anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage who was in the area at the time the alleged assault took place.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700.
