FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John provincial court between May 18th and May 22nd. 

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing May 20th

Seth Curtis Carlson (born 1989)

Carlson was found guilty of possessing a carcass without its parts attached on August 3rd, 2023, in Pink Mountain. 

They were fined $1, an order was made and they must pay $0.15 as a victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime. 

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing May 21st

Keithen Whitman Mourice Townsend (born 1981) 

Resonable grounds were satisfied for Townsend for an incident on August 13th, 2025, in Fort St. John. 

Townsend was issued a $500 recognizance for 12 months following the allegation. If Townsend fails to comply with the court’s conditions, they must pay the $500.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing May 22nd

Trevor Christopher Ernest Loe (born 1995)

Loe was found guilty of three counts of breaching a release order on May 20th, 2025, and August 6th, 2025, and of theft worth $5,000 or under on April 5th, 2025, in Fort St. John.

Under a different file number, Loe was found guilty of two counts of theft worth $5,000 or less on April 6th, 2025, and April 4th, 2025, in Fort St. John.  

For a different file number, Loe, who is also referenced by Court Services Online as Olson-Loe, was found guilty of breaching a release order on November 16th, 2025, in Vancouver. 

They were sentenced to ‘jail time served’, meaning the time Loe served in jail awaiting sentencing was counted towards his sentence, and a probation order for 18 months. 

A DNA secondary order was made and Loe was ordered to report for sample collection.
