Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation seeks new board member
The Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation is looking for a general member to join its board.

CHETWYND, B.C.— The Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation is looking for general members to join the board.Â
According to a Facebook post on the Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation’s page on May 13th, the foundation is seeking board members.Â
Jen Parrish, the foundation’s president, said: “We have a full board, so we’re just looking for general members to join the board [to] help out with our…gala, that’s our big fundraiser, so it gets pretty busy around that time.”Â
The foundation, which hosts its fundraising gala biannually, recently concluded its Masquerade Gala, raising $87,000 towards funding an Emergency Airway Management System.Â
“Our current treasurer is talking about retiring, so we would ideally like someone who could eventually fill her spot when she decides to either move away or retire,” she noted.Â
This role, Parrish said, is for people who are excited to get involved in the community and help with fundraising and event planning.Â
“[Board] meetings are [held] once a month, so it’s not a huge commitment [and they are] usually an hour and a half long,” Parrish noted.Â

When asked if there were any other requirements for the position, she said: “It’s not a paid position, so all of us are volunteers on our own time, so just a good community spirit and someone excited to be part of the team.”Â
People interested in becoming a board member are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting on June 16th, 2026, at 5 p.m., at the Chetwynd Hospital and Health Center boardroom, located on Hospital Road.Â
In addition, people interested in attending a meeting can call Jen Parrish at 250-402-1818.
