Ford issues recall for select models due to windshield wiper manufacturing issue
Ford has issued a recall due to manufacturing issues with windshield wipers in select models from 2021 to 2023.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Ford has issued recalls for numerous 2021 to 2023 models due to a potential manufacturing issue.Â
According to the Government of Canada website, the 2021 to 2023 Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator models and 2022 to 2023 F-250 to F-600 models have been recalled due to a possible manufacturing issue.
The website said windshield wiper arms on certain trucks may not have been manufactured correctly, potentially leading to wiper arms breaking or becoming detached and preventing them from wiping the windshield properly.Â
It also said windshield wipers could affect visibility for drivers if they do not work properly.Â
The following models have been recalled:
- Ford Expedition, 2021 to 2023
- Ford F-250 Chassis Cab, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-250 Super Duty, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-350 Chassis Cab, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-350 Super Duty, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-450 Chassis Cab, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-550 Chassis Cab, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-550 Super Duty, 2022 to 2023
- Ford F-600 2022 to 2023
- Lincoln Navigator, 2021 to 2023
In a Facebook post on May 19th, Transport Canada said if not fixed, the risk of a crash is increased if the wiper arms break or detach.Â

The Government of Canada said 31,510 units are affected. The Transport Canada recall number is 2026-161, and the manufacturer’s recall number is 26S24.
Owners who are affected by the recall will be notified by mail.Â
Vehicle owners can also visit the Ford website to check if their vehicle has been impacted by a recall.
