On May 22nd, 2026, the Lido Theatre will be hosting a fundraiser in support of Cheyenne Kvikstaad, a one-year-old from Fort St. John who has been dealing with medical issues.
According to a Facebook post from the Lido on May 13th, 2026, the fundraisers will feature live music from several artists, as well as a silent auction.
Every dollar donated will go toward Cheyenne’s care and the support of her family, the post said.
According to the Lido’s website, Cheyenne was born with Hirschsprung Disease on May 22nd, 2025.
Hirschsprung Disease is a condition where the nerve cells in a baby’s large intestine are missing, resulting in bowel blockage.
In the first 48 hours of her life, Cheyenne was rushed to Vancouver’s Children’s Hospital for an emergency surgery. Since the surgery, she has undergone several abdominal procedures, all before her first birthday. Cheyenne is expected to need further surgeries in the near future.
