‘Staffing shortages’ closes Hudson’s Hope Health Centre ER
The Hudson’s Hope Health Centre’s ER closes again after being open for a day, coming out of a two-week-long closure.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — The Hudson’s Hope Health Centre has closed again after being open for just one day following a two-week closure.
According to Northern Health’s Emergency Department Status page, the centre is not scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, April 29th at 8:30 a.m.
The centre was previously closed for two weeks from April 10th and was scheduled to reopen on April 13th at 8.30 a.m., but this closure was extended until April 27th.

In a written statement to Energeticcity.ca, Northern Health said: “[The] Hudson’s Hope Health Centre is currently experiencing an interruption to its daytime, weekday emergency department services as a result of a staffing shortage.”
During regular working hours, the centre is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Outside of normal working hours and on the weekends, the health authority is urging residents, who are in need of emergency care, to call 911 to connect to BC Emergency Health Services for transportation to the nearest available hospital.
