Fort St. John coffee house up for sale
Coffee house Farmhouse on Main was started by mother and daughter, Tammy Mackenzie and Shea-Lynne Kirkpatrick, back in 2020.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Beloved local coffee house Farmhouse on Main is looking for a new owner.
The shop, located in the heart of Fort St. John’s downtown, was announced as being up for sale on Tuesday, April 21st in a Facebook post.
Farmhouse on Main serves soups, sandwiches, and baked goods in addition to coffee.
It was founded in 2020 by the late Tammy Mackenzie and her daughter, Shea-Lynne Kirkpatrick.
Kirkpatrick spoke about her mother’s passion for coffee and the decision to move on after six years.
“[We] started off in another location,” said Kirkpatrick to Energeticcity.ca. “It was smaller. Mostly retail and a little coffee shop. We got so many people asking for food and baked goods.”
“We found another location and decided to put in a kitchen, and started serving soup and sandwiches and baked goods, because that was what the community was looking for.”

Kirkpatrick said the decision to part with the business she helped found has been in the planning stages “for a while.”
Also factoring in was the loss of her mother, who she described as passionate about coffee and serving others, adding that comments from the community after the announcement have been positive.
While Kirkpatrick says she is unsure of what is coming next, she is taking a step back to focus on her young family, which includes a child.
“[I am] mostly going to focus on my family for now,” said Kirkpatrick. “No future plans as of yet, but coffee was my passion, and it was really fun.”
Farmhouse on Main is still open for business while the shop is up for sale at 10044 100th Street in Fort St. John.
