Delays expected on Taylor Bridge due to April 24th maintenance
Starting April 24th until April 25th, the Taylor Bridge will be operating with one lane due to scheduled maintenance.

TAYLOR, B.C. — Taylor Bridge will be down to one lane overnight on April 24th as road crews perform maintenance.
In a Facebook post, Dawson Road Maintenance said the Taylor Bridge will face delays from 7 p.m. on April 24th, 2026 until 3:30 a.m. on April 25th, as the bridge will be operating with only one lane as crews perform maintenance.
According to the post, overweight and oversized loads exceeding 3.85 metres (12.6 feet) in width will not be allowed to cross the bridge until after the maintenance is completed.

Dawson Road Maintenance strongly encourages drivers to plan movements around this timeframe in order to avoid extended delays.
The Taylor Bridge underwent similar maintenance on April 10th 2026.
On March 31st, 2026, the president and CEO of the Independent Contractors and Business Association, Chris Gardner, wrote an opinion piece on Energeticcity.ca calling for the provincial government to replace the bridge, rather than keep repairing it.
The Taylor Bridge is considered a key piece of infrastructure in the Peace River Region, connecting communities like Dawson Creek and Fort St. John through Highway 97.
