It is with great sadness that I say April 10th was my last day at Moose Media. As many of our readers may know, I am a British national and I resigned early this year when my partner and I decided to head back to home soil.

I have now served as news director at Energeticcity.ca for around 16 months, and during that time, I had my breath taken away by the amazing landscapes, had close encounters with a variety of wildlife, learned so much about the Peace region and Canadian culture and, perhaps most importantly, been welcomed into the Fort St. John community with open arms. I’ve also gained a new appreciation for sturdy winter clothes and a regular supply of Timbits.

I will look back on my time in Canada with great fondness. I would like to thank all the friends and colleagues here who encouraged and enabled our various pursuits, both professionally and personally (think: snowshoeing across the length of Charlie Lake, taking on the Emperor’s Challenge, becoming kitten foster parents or learning to ice skate).

The Energeticcity.ca news team is made up of fabulous journalists who are committed to serving the northeast community, and it was my pleasure to work alongside them. They have my utmost gratitude for all their hard work and dedication. I’d also like to thank Adam, owner of Moose Media, for all his guidance and support from the moment he extended this opportunity.
