Canucks’ goaltender Josh Round had a 30-save performance to preserve the victory, and afterwards spoke to CJDC about the early goal.

“Sometimes, you play better when you give up a stinker early,” said Round. “It was bad.”

Bjornson, who scored to make it 3-1 in the third period, talked to CJDC about how happy he was with his teammates.

“I’m so ecstatic,” said Bjornson. “A lot of these boys work hard all year. They go home late, and have to get up and go to work the next day. To get a pay-off like this, in front of family and friends, is unreal.”

Dawson Creek’s 2025-26 season also included an NPHL run where they won 15 out of 16 regular-season games and advanced to the playoff championship, where they were swept by the Manning Comets in the league finals.
