Today’s closure means the centre has not been open to the public since March 26th.
Northern Health, in a written statement to Energeticcity.ca, said: “Hudsons’ Hope Health Centre is currently experiencing an interruption to its daytime, weekday emergency department services as a result of a staffing shortage.”
The health centre is usually open to the community from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m., during normal working hours.
During the weekends and outside of normal working hours, the health authority is urging residents in need of emergency care to call 911 to connect to BC Emergency Health Services for transport to the nearest available hospital.
