Fort St. John craft brewery up for sale
Beard’s Brewing Company, which started out life as a craft brewery in downtown Fort St. John in 2017, is up for sale.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A local craft brewery is on the selling block, according to its owners.
Beard’s Brewing Company in Fort St. John promotes itself as the first microbrewery in northeast B.C.
It was started by Stephen Beard and wife Amy back in 2017, with the brewery’s taproom is located on 10408 Alaska Road North.
According to a Facebook post on Monday, March 2nd, the time has come to look for its “next right owner.”
“When we opened the first craft brewery in town, it was about community, connection and creating something we were proud of,” reads part of the post.
“Today, the brewery is strong, established and respected — and I’m officially looking for the right person or group to take it to the next level.”
The post concludes that the brewery is not closing its doors, but rather “opening them for someone new to step in and build on what we’ve created.”
