North Peace senior girls’ basketball team drop second provincial game

LANGLEY, B.C. — The North Peace Secondary School (NPSS) senior girls’ basketball squad dropped another game at the 4A provincial championship in Langley.

The Grizzlies, seeded last in the 16-team tournament, fell by a score of 91-35 to Oak Bay Secondary School of Victoria on Thursday, February 26th.

Charlotte Wilson led the way for the Grizzlies with 13 points, followed by Ella Knoppers who had 12 points.

NPSS opened the tournament against the top-seeded Argyle Secondary School of North Vancouver on the provincials’ opening day, February 25th, where they fell by a score of 88-19.

Wilson was the top scorer in that contest as well with six points.

NPSS’s next game will be against Abbotsford’s W.J. Mouat Secondary on Friday morning, February 27th.

The 2026 4A BC Provincial basketball championships are being held in Langley at the Langley Events Centre.
