Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation ‘grateful’ for West Moberly First Nations’ masquerade gala contribution

The Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation has recognized the West Moberly First Nations as the title sponsor of its 2026 masquerade gala.

CHETWYND, B.C. — The Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation has recognized West Moberly First Nations as its title sponsor for its 2026 masquerade gala. 

According to a Facebook post uploaded to the Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation’s page on February 27th, it said this contribution will help enhance emergency medical services at the hospital. 

The Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation is hosting ‘The Masquerade Ball’ on Saturday, April 18th at 8 p.m. at the Chetwynd and Area Recreation Centre located on N Access Road.

“Located in the Peace River Country and deeply rooted in the history, culture and traditions of the Dunne-za and Cree people, West Moberly First Nations continue to show what true leadership and community partnership look like,” the post reads. 

“Their commitment to integrity, respect and collective wellbeing reaches far beyond their own Nation, it strengthens the entire region.” 

The contribution will go towards the Emergency Airway Management System (GlideScope).

The Glidescope Core is an advanced airway visualization system that offers video laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy and dual-view procedures. 

The support will mean better equipment, stronger emergency response and improved care for families across Chetwynd and the Peace region.

The post said: “We are so grateful for this incredible contribution and for the example of unity and partnership they continue to set.” 

The foundation thanked the West Moberly First Nations for standing with it and investing in the health and safety of people. 

Tickets for the masquerade gala cost $85, and can be bought via e-transfers directed to: chethospitalfoundation@gmail.com, or in person at Valley Pure Water or PharmaChoice.
