BC Hydro’s upcoming outages to affect more than 50 customers

BC Hydro has planned power outages for more than 50 customers in the surrounding areas of Fort St. John.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Planned power outage will affect 53 Hydro customers in the surrounding areas of Fort St. John. 

According to BC Hydro’s outages list, outages have been scheduled to happen on March 6th from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., affecting one customer, on March 8th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., affecting three customers, and on March 9th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., affecting 49 customers. 

This comes after nearly 1,000 customers had a planned power outage on February 15th in Pouce Coupe and several communities nearby.

Impacted areas on March 6th are around Hudson’s Hope Road M 7. 

On March 8th, areas impacted are around West Bypass Road, and on March 9th, impacted areas are around Aitken Cr Road, Aitkin Cr Road, Bartch Street, Bartsch Road, Beatton Road, Evergreen Road and Letkiman Avenue, Buick Creek. 

These planned outages are due to pole replacement and planned work done on BC Hydro equipment.
