FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts between February 16th and February 20th.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, February 17th

Ryan Lane Parker (born 1989)

Parker was found guilty of theft worth $5,000 or under on February 20th, 2025 in Dawson Creek. 

They were handed a suspended sentence, where they were given conditions to follow, and a 12-month probation order. 

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, February 18th

Dwayne Kyle Munch (born 2002)

Munch was found guilty of breaching a probation order on November 27th, 2025 in Fort St. John. 

They were handed a jail time served sentence. 

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, February 19th

Rylan Edward Birkbeck (born 1996)

Birkbeck was found guilty of assault on November 1st, 2025 in Fort St. John. 

They were handed a 12-month probation order and a conditional sentence, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest,’ for 60 days. 

Millen David Knuuttila (born 1985)

Reasonable grounds were satisfied for Knuuttila for an incident on July 24th, 2025 in Pineview. 

They were issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation for a period of 12 months. If Knuuttila fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.
