Google Maps blurs home involved in Tumbler Ridge shooter’s spree

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. —  Google Maps has blurred the home connected to the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School shooter’s killing spree. 

At a recent press conference, BC RCMP deputy commissioner Dwayne McDonald revealed the home’s location on Fellers Avenue in Tumbler Ridge. 

Google’s Street View has now blurred the house in question. 

On February 10th, 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar, a resident of Tumbler Ridge, shot their 39-year-old mother and 11-year-old stepbrother at a local residence. 

Rootselaar went to Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and continued killing. Their other victims include a 39-year-old female teacher, three 12-year-old girls and two boys between the ages of 12 and 13. 

Twenty-five victims were triaged at the scene and two were airlifted to the hospital, who are reportedly in a critical but stable condition.
