Highway 97 reopens after crash between two semi-trucks and pickup truck

The Alaska Highway has reopened after a multi-vehicle crash in the 9700 block of Highway 97 north.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Alaska Highway has reopened after a multi-vehicle accident over the weekend. 

The Fort St. John RCMP responded to a report of a crash shortly after 6 p.m. in the 9700 block of Highway 97 north on February 1st. 

Corporal Madonna Saunderson, the RCMP’s North District communications officer, told Energeticcity.ca police found “two semi-trucks and a pickup truck were involved in the crash.”

She said: “Roads were reported to be slippery at the time.” 

No injuries were reported and the highway, which was closed, has been reopened.
