Fort St. John non-profit seeks performers for 53rd annual talent show
The Fort St. John Child Development Centre is looking for performers for its 53rd annual talent show scheduled for March 6th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A non-profit organization in Fort St. John is looking for performers to participate in its annual talent show.
The Child Development Centre (CDC) will be hosting its annual talent show on March 6th at the North Peace Cultural Centre from 6 p.m. onwards.
The centre’s talent show is a fundraiser to help support the needs of CDC.
Crystal Kalas, supported child development consultant and talent show coordinator for CDC, told Energeticcity.ca the centre hopes to raise $100,000.
She said: “It will go towards our capital campaign, which is renovating a home we just recently bought so that we can get it ready to provide programs and services.”
The home renovation program fundraised through the capital campaign, which aims to raise $500,000 overall, will provide families with an opportunity to have respite while kids can attend programming that helps build life skills.
For this year, Kalas shared: “We are looking to bring in a variety of new performers.

“We’re hoping to attract people that haven’t performed at the talent show before, who might have an interesting talent they would like to showcase on stage.”
The centre is hoping to have at least 20 performers sign up and three have already entered to be a part of the talent show.
“We asked performers to raise a minimum of $50 towards their performance, which will help us reach our fundraising goal of $100,000,” she said, adding performers will be given pledge sheets when they sign up to ask for donations.
People interested in signing up for the talent show need to do so by February 28th.
