(UPDATE) Rose Prairie Road reopens after incident

DriveBC said Rose Prairie Road was still closed for “vehicle recovery” on the morning of January 28th after an incident on January 27th.

Update, January 28th, 2.25 p.m.: The road has now opened, but DriveBC is still warning of a ‘mayor delay.’

ROSE PRAIRIE, B.C. — The road to Rose Prairie is still closed while workers recover a vehicle after an incident yesterday morning. 

Rose Prairie Road was initially shut between 256 Road and 260 Road on January 27th due to an incident which saw a patient transported to hospital in a stable condition.

BC Emergency Health Service received a call at 7.45 a.m. on that day, and emergency medical responders went to the scene in an ambulance. 

In an update at 7 a.m. on January 28th, DriveBC said the road is still closed for “vehicle recovery.”

There is still a detour available via 256 Road onto 267 Road to 260 Road, and DriveBC says it expects the road to reopen by 4 p.m.
