Availability of full service stalls – where essential utilities like electricity, fresh water and sewer can be utilized – will depend on frost possibilities but occupancy is scheduled to be open from May long weekend until the last week of September.

The post said this timeline will be monitored based on seasonal conditions and it will be extended where possible.

There will be a slight delay in accessing the island to meet optimal conditions before the commencement of the camping season.

Booking availability for the island specifically is scheduled to begin on May 1st but this is subject to spring melt conditions and causeway maintenance due to the abundant snowfall the region has enjoyed this year.

In December 2025, Fort St. John received the heaviest snowfall in more than a decade in that month.

The park advises visitors to check district communications for the anticipated opening dates of the Taylor Sani-Dump to plan early-season trips accordingly.

Visitors can book by visiting Let’s Camp. For people requiring additional assistance, the park office will be available by telephone on (250) 789-9295 or email at reservations@peaceislandpark.ca from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on January 15th. Walk-in service will start from spring 2026.
