Proposed Telecommunications Tower Installation
As part of the public consultation process required by Peace River Regional District (PRRD) and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), the regulator under the Radiocommunication Act, Tourmaline Oil Corp. is inviting the public to comment on a proposed telecommunications facility. This structure is fully compliant with PRRD and ISED’s guidelines, as found under the PRRD’s Telecommunications Tower Siting Policy Statement and the Client Procedures Circular (CPC-2-0-03).
Proposed Structure: A 54.86-metre self-support lattice tower, with an equipment shelter at the base.
Location: BLOCK C DISTRICT LOT 3443 PRD (13-33-76-17 W6M)
B-67-H/93-P-10
Coordinates: 55.635649, -120.582771
Purpose:
As part of Tourmaline’s Electrification of 13-33-76-17 W6M (B-67-H/093-P-10), a microwave communication link is required to BC Hydro to monitor and link the substation. The Telecommunication tower will enable a direct microwave link from B-67-H/093-P-10 to BC Hydro’s Bear Mountain Terminal in order to monitor and load shed the facility, if required. The proposed tower will ensure reliable, secure, and continuous communication for operational, safety, and regulatory needs. The tower will be located within Tourmaline owned lands with existing site access restrictions in place.

Dans le cadre du processus de consultation publique exigé par le Peace River Regional District (PRRD) et Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique Canada (ISDE), l’organisme de réglementation en vertu de la Loi sur la radiocommunication, Tourmaline Oil Corp. invite le public à formuler des commentaires concernant un projet d’installation de télécommunications. Cette structure est entièrement conforme aux lignes directrices du PRRD et de l’ISDE, telles qu’énoncées dans la Politique de localisation des tours de télécommunications du PRRD et la Circulaire des procédures à l’intention des clients (CPC-2-0-03).
Structure proposée : Une tour autoportante en treillis de 54,86 mètres, avec un abri pour l’équipement à la base.

Objectif: Dans le cadre de l’électrification de Tourmaline pour le site 13-33-77-17 W6M (B-67-H/093-P-10), un lien de communication par micro-ondes est nécessaire pour permettre à BC Hydro de surveiller et de relier la sous-station. La tour de télécommunication permettra d’établir un lien micro-ondes direct entre le site B-67-H/093-P-10 et le terminal de Bear Mountain de BC Hydro afin de surveiller l’installation et de réduire la charge au besoin. La tour proposée assurera des communications fiables, sécurisées et continues pour répondre aux besoins opérationnels, de sécurité et de conformité réglementaire. La tour sera située sur des terres appartenant à Tourmaline, avec des restrictions d’accès au site déjà en place.
