FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Fans of local junior hockey have a chance to collect their favourite players – in trading card form – for the 2025-26 season.

Neufie Digital revealed a first peek at series one of the season’s Strike Group North West Junior Hockey League (NWJHL) trading cards on a Facebook post on Tuesday, November 11th.

The company is the official game photographer of the La Crete Lumber Barons and the pictures are the result of a collaboration with Fort St. John Huskies’ official game photographer, Street Legal Photography.

Kevin Neufeld of Neufie Digital began producing a set featuring just members of the Lumber Barons last year, and wanted to expand it to a league-wide set featuring all NWJHL teams.

The cards are produced through Neufeld’s company, Eikon Cards, and both himself and his wife handle all printing, editing and producing.

“As a kid, I collected hockey cards,” said Neufeld. “Right before [last year’s] playoffs, I decided to do hockey cards for the Lumber Barons. I started off just printing a few cards, and decided to try to sell them at the games there, and sold out of those on the first weekend.

“I realized that there was a pretty big demand for these cards locally. This year, when I wanted to do it again for the Lumber Barons, I decided to see if there would be interest from any other teams in the league. And the Huskies and the Blades, they both wanted to sign up.”

Featuring players from the Huskies, Lumber Barons and Beaverlodge Blades, the first reveal includes Huskies team captain and forward Grayden Alexander.

Packs come in two sizes and are priced accordingly: $10 for an eight-pack and $5 for a pack of three cards. The cards will be available at Blades, Huskies and Lumber Barons games throughout the remainder of the season.
