Dr. Michael Oh has started seeing patients at the Internal Medicine Clinic on 96th Street in Fort St. John.

FORT ST JOHN, B.C. — A new doctor has begun working in the Fort St. John community.
Dr. Michael Oh has already started seeing patients at the Internal Medicine Clinic on 96th Street.
Fort St. John mayor Lilia Hansen congratulated Dr. Oh on his new role in a Facebook post on October 27th.

“We’re thrilled to have him join our medical community – welcome Dr. Oh,” she wrote.
Dr. Oh, who is an internist, graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland before completing his training at the University of British Columbia this year.
The North Peace Division of Family Practice said his hobbies include music, spending time with loved ones and “staying up late with technology.”
However, he is professionally interested in nephrology – a subspecialty of internal medicine which focuses on the kidneys and urinary system – and the physiology of the electrically-charged minerals in bodily fluids, called electrolytes.

“During my studies and training, I realized big cities can feel pretty exhausting to live in,” Dr. Oh said in a statement from the family practice division. “What drew me to Fort St. John is that it has that welcoming, close-knit community feeling I grew up with and really value.
“To me, that makes it a wonderful place to live and practice medicine.”
