Behind the Scenes
Now that we are well into October, it’s time to get ready for spooky season! Our friends over at 100.1 Moose FM always have a bunch of fun contests going on, and that includes ways to celebrate Halloween. This year, we have the Spookiest House Contest and the Halloween Costume Contest both powered by Accent Dental! Make sure to take plenty of pictures of your decorations and costumes, upload them to the contest, and you’ll have a chance to win some awesome prizes!


There is also the Family-Friendly Halloween Movie Night powered by Smith Fuel Services Ltd. happening on October 29! Make sure to book your spot now as we will be watching the Scooby Doo Movie and Beetlejuice.

- Oilfield Company Fined $26,000: by WorkSafeBC for violations in Dawson Creek. Grant Production Testing Services, a well-testing company based out of Alberta with offices in the United States, was reportedly fined on September 2, 2025.
- City of FSJ Pinpoints Proposed Location of New Pool: in a press release on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The proposed location sits across from the Naache Commons development and Margaret “Ma” Murray Community School.
- Justin Sewell Handed Prison Time: after sentencing appeal. Sewell, who pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault and two counts of voyeurism in 2022, is now set to spend 33 months less a day in prison.
