Officers investigate vehicle fire in Dawson Creek

The Dawson Creek RCMP detachment is appealing for information after a 2005 Mazda 6 with a silver body, potentially with Alberta licence plates, was found on October 13th.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Dawson Creek police officers are asking the public for help finding information regarding a burnt out vehicle.

According to a new press release from the city’s RCMP detachment, officers responded to a report of a burnt out vehicle in the city on Monday, October 13th.

The vehicle was a 2005 Mazda 6 with a silver body, and potentially had Alberta licence plates.

Officers say they want to speak with anyone who saw smoke in the area of 251 Road and the Kiskatinaw River near Dawson Creek in the days leading up to October 13th.

Residents who were nearby during that time or who have game cameras set up in the area are also encouraged to share whatever information they have.

Anyone with anything to share is urged to contact the RCMP’s Southeast District Major Crime Unit info line at 1-877-987-8477.
