Oilfield company fined $26,000 by WorkSafeBC for violations in Dawson Creek
WorkSafeBC’s penalty summary says it issued the fine after inspecting a gas fracking site in the Dawson Creek area operated by the Grant Production Testing Services.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — An oilfield well-testing company has been fined for alleged safety violations at a work site in Dawson Creek.
Grant Production Testing Services, a well-testing company based out of Alberta with offices in the United States, was reportedly fined by WorkSafeBC on September 2nd, 2025.
WorkSafeBC’s penalty summary says it inspected a gas fracking site in the Dawson Creek area operated by the company and found flowback work was being done without proper remote control operation in place.

Additionally, the agency claims the company committed a repeated violation by failing to ensure operations were conducted via remote control if the pressure of a flow piping system exceeded 2,000 kilopascals — a unit of measurement for pressure that’s common in industrial settings.
For reference, 2,000 kilopascals is equivalent to roughly 290 pounds per square inch (psi).
As a result of the inspection, on September 2nd, Grant Production Testing Services was fined $26,364.06.
Energeticcity.ca contacted Grant Production Testing Services for a statement regarding the fine and did not immediately receive a response.
