Public hearing set for Dawson Creek zoning amendment

A public hearing about the zoning amendment proposed for 705 100a Avenue will be held on Tuesday, October 14th at 9 a.m. in Dawson Creek’s council chambers at City Hall.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The Dawson Creek community has been invited to a hearing on a proposed zoning amendment.

According to a news release from the city, a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 14th at 9 a.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, located at 10105 12a Street. 

The hearing concerns Zoning Amendment (25-05) Bylaw No. 4615, 2025, which proposes changing the zoning for 705 100a Avenue.

The change would allow the property to be developed for single-family and duplex housing rather than commercial purposes.

Residents are encouraged to participate by attending the public hearing in person or by watching the livestream on the City of Dawson Creek’s Facebook page.

Copies of the proposed bylaw are available for public review at the planning department at City Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, until the hearing date.
