FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Chetwynd provincial courts between September 29th and October 3rd.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, September 29th

Audrey Louise Hamm (born 1999):

Hamm was found guilty of impaired operation by alcohol or drugs for an incident in Fort St. John on February 9th, 2025. Hamm was issued a $1,000 fine, a 12-month driving prohibition and a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime.

Shandel Christine Annemarie Harrison (born 1991):

Harrison was found guilty of possessing and/or using a stolen credit card for an incident in Fort St. John on November 9th, 2024. Harrison was issued a 30-day conditional sentence and a 12-month probation order. A conditional sentence is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest.’

Glen Ralph Tuckerman (born 1963):

Tuckerman was found guilty of possessing a firearm without a licence and/or registration for an incident in Cecil Lake on December 8th, 2024. 

Tuckerman was issued a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow, alongside an 18-month probation order and a five-year firearm prohibition.

Tuckerman was also subjected to forfeiture, which allows the government to seize property and assets ‘tainted’ by crime.

Michael Troy Underhill (born 1967):

Underhill was found guilty of breaking and entering and committing an indictable offence and three counts of breaching a release order for incidents in Fort St. John between January 2024 and May 2025.

In addition to jail time served, Underhill was issued three 60-day conditional sentences and a 12-month probation order.

Tyler John Apsassin (born 1981):

Apsassin was issued a zero-dollar recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, after an incident in Fort St. John on December 9th, 2024.

Chetwynd Provincial Court sentencing, October 2nd

Shawn Richard Sims (born 1970):

Sims was found guilty of causing a disturbance for an incident in Chetwynd on August 14th, 2024. Sims was issued a suspended sentence, $100 victim surcharge and 12-month probation order.

Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, October 3rd

Cameron Douglas Mack (born 1990):

Mack was issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation following an incident in Fort St. John on December 25th, 2024. If Mack fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.

Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, October 3rd

Daniel John Querin (born 1974):

Querin was found guilty of the following charges for incidents in Dawson Creek and Rolla, which took place between April and September 2024:

  • Assaulting a peace officer with a weapon and/or causing bodily harm
  • Willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer
  • Flight from police
  • Refusal
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Two counts of driving while disqualified under the Canadian Criminal Code

Querin was sentenced to a combined total of 1,139 days of jail time, and also received three three-year driving prohibitions.
